PODJE

Podje started djing in 1985 at a fresh age of 14, playing at functions and teen discos. By 1988 Podje was successfully promoting and djing at events all over Ireland .

In 1990 podje discovered the exciting new world of house music. His first public performances of house music were at a successful self promoted night called Mint at the pink elephant venue in Dublin , which gave rise to him making guest appearances at underground nightclubs all over Dublin . In 1995 podje was approached by the kitchen nightclub to headline the launch of their new Wednesday night club fever, and due to its success was subsequently taken on as the kitchen resident playing at their flagship Saturday night as well as organising and promoting talent for all of the kitchen nights.

Podje was even mentioned by U2's Bono in Irelands hot press magazine and the Boston globe back in 1996 as being the best dj that he had heard that year!

Podje was playing at all the major festivals around Ireland such as creamfields, homelands and planet love as well as being the Irish cream resident for all of their shows, playing along side sasha, tall Paul, Andy c, seb fontaine, Paul oakenfold and even Tony de vitt.In 1997 podje started performing abroad in clubs such as tangled in Manchester , the velvet rooms and ministry of sound in London as well as regular performances in Boston , New York and at the beach party main event at the Miami winter music conference in 2000.

Podje decided it was time to move to the next level and invested in a top of the range mix cubed pro tools system and teamed up with Ive to give rise to dale studios and the podje and ive production team. Podje released a chill out compilation called sundazed in 2002 on his own label nippy records which had numerous contributions from talents including an unreleased track from Andy c groove armada and mike Monday under the guise of beat foundation.

  EFIM - THE RUSSIAN
Coming down from Russia not only with love but also with passion and respect for underground house, Efim The Russian earned himself a reputation as a Dj that knows how to get the party started. Going through tones of music every day, only tunes full of melody and harmony attract his attention. And although he doesn't like the word "intelligent" we can't call his music anything but "smart", especially when we get carried away with our thoughts listening to his blend of deep, jacking house.

He started as a bedroom dj in Moscow when he was 17, but according to him, his first djing encounter was when he recorded his first "mix" - just ripping tunes from various CDs and recording them to the tapes in preferred order. That was back in 1993, since then been wondering around music world for about 6 years, switching from one style to another, ranging from d'n'b, jungle to techno and minimal, house has always been his preference. In 2000 he got his first turntables as a present and since then started to spend loads of cash on records, by now his collection is around 1500 records. After numerous house parties Efim was invited to a local club where he had huge success and got his residence straight away.

But since 2002, he started realizing that his passion for music requires him to upgrade to another level. That's when the idea of producing music of his own came into his mind. And luckily for us he was sent to Ireland to get a degree in accounting (sic!) by his old folks wish. Studying full time and playing in clubs, he managed to find some time for sound engineering courses bringing to life his own dreams. By now he is engaged in a couple of music projects as well as managing a small business with his fellow dj friends.
LIAM DOLLARD
Liam Dollard's first serious gig in Dublin was in a warehouse up near Thomas Street on a Friday night early in the summer of 1990. That night SIDES was empty with Dublins small party faithful going up to check out was going on at the Thomas St. all-nighter. The following week Liam was asked to become SIDES Friday night resident. That summer Dublin enjoyed it's very own "Summer of Love". Liam resided in SIDES for the next four years. In 1994 he released alongside Vintin a remix of mad sound disease "MOONBOOM" which became a Dublin house classic.

After that Liam had residencies in the Ormond Multi-Media Centre, Temple of Sound, PoD and the KITCHEN. Outside Dublin he was resident in the legendery Roxy and Metro in Waterford. He played regularly in Carlow's Archies, Galway's Sex Kitchen, Limerick's Theatre Royal and Strictly Ryhthm, Sligo's Clarence Hotel, Tralee's Horgans and Wexford's Regal Lodge.
Back in Dublin in the late 90' his last major residency was downstairs in The Temple Theatre. At the same time every St. Patrick's Day he played with Billy Scurry in San Francisco with the Lush Paddies and in 1999 the duo played San Francisco, Los Angelas and Hawaii all in the same week. Liam subsequently went into semi-retirement after that where he remains.
